SWITCH TO DIGITAL TV COMING SOON

transition to hdtv broadcast in june 2009

As we know or should by know all tv stations will be switching to digital transmission in june 2009. all analog tv reception will cease to to exist. when you turn on your tv set you wont see anything no channels. it has been announce and was delayed once in feb 2009. all broadcast staitions are required by law to end analog transimission. digital transmission can be seen but only with a digital tv converter added to older generation tv's. tv manufactures have been producing wide selection of sizes and hdtv sets. plasma, lcd, dlp these are some of the old technology that will be in the next gen of tv. they cost more and deliver more than picture quality. outstanding clarity and super resolution. newer technology and new plasma sets are very delicate and need to be handled with extreme care. it has improved resolution rich darks and brilliant colors.lcd hdtv is similar to flat screens the type that are in laptops and flat screen desk top monitors. the only difference is that they come in larger size and have built in protecting they also have hi definition tuner for digital transmission

one major problem has been the screens break easy. if dropped or not handled properly they are can easily shatter. repairing a shattered screen is not recomended usually the screen is as much or more than a brand new set. go with the warantee and extra coverage if possible. its a few hundred dollars it isnt cheap coverage. but it is well worth it incase something does go wrong. resolutions up to 1080p it is available with blue ray dvd players, all networks will transmit in hd and some have capabilities of higher resolution like 720p 480p but the 1080p resolution is for blue ray dvd players not available for tv channels.

. so when shopping around for a new hdtv plasma set or wide screen lcd do your research and make sure to buy only from a trusted source get good warantee coverage. protect your investment it's better safe than sorry
